Good Company, Mediocre Otherwise
I had not been inside the Cheetah in easily more than 25 years and really didn’t have any intention of visiting again as I’m not a fan of fancy air dance clubs. But this was a special occasion. TUSCLer Eve Hartley was visiting Atlanta and was interested in having lunch at Atlanta’s most well known strip club (most well known at least to the uninitiated who don’t know about Follies), so I was happy to have the opportunity to accompany her there. I’m glad I went, but only for two reasons: (1) I got to spend some time with Eve, and (2) I got to increase my club count by writing this review.
This was a late lunchtime visit, at about 1:30 p.m. We Ubered over so I can’t comment on parking. The cover charge was $5 each. Inside, the club was pretty much as I (vaguely) remembered it. Just past the entrance is the Executive Lounge, whatever that is, but it was closed because it was still early. Past the Executive Lounge is the main club area, which is basically a large, square open room, which was sparsely populated during this early afternoon visit—probably no more than a dozen or so customers mainly congregated at the bars.
The main stage is at the far end of the room, next to the restaurant area, bars against the walls to either side, with satellite stages in front of each bar. In back, near the entrance, is a small elevated seating area set up for dining. The facilities are, as you would expect, top notch. I can’t say the same about the girls.
