Some Winners and Some Losers at Dragon West

This is the first time in about 10 years that I have been in this club. It is one of two in Lawton and is the closest to the city-county line. It is behind a nursery company and just south of a liquor bar, which is owned by the same family that owns Dragon West. As others have said it is a metal building. It is rather non-descript on the outside with an entry door behind a small wooden fence. When you enter the club, there is a desk to the right and the DJ booth to the left. There is a $5 cover for everyone over 21 and a $15 cover for anyone between 18 and 21.

This is for the military who are welcome in the club. Security is very noticeable with usually 2 security persons working the club. You are frisked at the door and the door security person does have a wand he/she can use. If you pass security, you pay your cover and go right in. You also receive a wristband; more on this later. The bar is on the north side of the club opposite the entry door. Beer and beer coolers plus soda and water are available. Prices are reasonable and there is a 2 for 1 from 5-7 pm. You can also purchase cigarettes behind the bar. There are 4 pool tables and a large number of tables with seating from 2 to 3 people. The stage is in the center of the club with a wheel suspended from the ceiling on one end and a pole on the other end.

There is also a girder work around the edge of the stage that is suspended from the ceiling for the dancers to do acrobatics on. On the night I was there, there were 3 dancers in the club and they kept coming in throughout the evening. By the time I left, there were at least 10 there. Some of them were Kitty, Alana, Carmella, Shiva, Mysterious, and five more. The dancers ranged from a 6 to a 9 in terms of cuteness, personality, and ability to entertain the customer. One thing I noticed is the dancers like to cut-throat their co-workers. I was visited by Kitty about 10 minutes after I arrived. She was cute, could carry on a conversation, and wasn't pushy about getting dances. She waited until she got off stage and came back to my table to even broach the subject. I got 2 dances and while they didn't have the contact that dances in Oklahoma City do, they were still well done and stimulating.
