Quick visit during a hurricane--met a great dancer!
Temptations is a decent club with some cute dancers and a decent facility. One dancer in particular--Arya (and she really does look like a prettier version of Arya Stark from GoT)--really caught my eye. She was working behind the bar, but after some coaxing we got her to do two songs up on the stage. she was not only beautiful, she was very talented. Her pole work was especially good, and despite the fact that she was wearing jeans she was surprisingly limber. The only reason we got her out from behind the bar was because the club was nearly empty. There were maybe three other customers in addition to our group of 5. We were told there were 5 dancers there, but we only saw two plus Arya. We didn't get any lap/table dances, so I can't report on those, but the dancers all did pay special attention to patrons tipping at stage side.
The reason the club was empty was because Hurricane Nate was supposed to be heading our way and the Mayor declared a 7pm curfew. Most of Bourbon Street was shut down. Temptations and a few other places remained open despite the curfew, which was lifted about an hour and half after it took effect. It was amazing how fast the public returned to the street once the hurricane threat passed!
Temptations has a main stage and a smaller state near the front that doubles as a shadow box to the street. There is a VIP area upstairs. Access to the VIP area is either through a bottle service (various prices on the bottles, but they started at $250) or paying for a private area (I didn't find out the whole cost of the private area)/ . I did find out that tipping the dancer is always in addition to the whatever amount you spend on getting into the VIP area.
