Solid not spectacular

Lurker for years but gonna get more active in the scene these days. Went to Ricks twice recently, both times early evening happy hour type shift after being in town for work events. Both times greeted by a bouncer who walks you in and asks if you need anything but I just wanted to sit at the bar. Beers were 7 before happy hour ended, 9 after that so... not so great but it is mid town after all. They don't have a big stage, one small 'main' stage and then a literal 2x2 platform. Usually one girl dancing at a time at those hours but sometimes both were occupied.

Numerous dancers roaming, I was approached early and often. Mix of ethnicities except for Caucasian American. No all American girls from Iowa or anything like that. The Eastern European and Russian girls were most aggressive, but I declined numerous advances so I could have a beer and check out the scenery. Was asked about on the floor lappers as well as private room. LD seemed pretty consistent at 20 per song. Private rooms typically quoted 300-350 for half hour. Not an option for me.

Eventually danced with two girls - a Russian spinner and an AA with a great Afro. Russian girl was hands off but didn't mind light touching, she didn't have a way with words but had some good moves. You are right out in the open so there is a limit to what can be done. AA was very slow and sensual, different dance style but I found it very erotic. Almost intimate, which was exciting. Took you away from realizing there are fifty other people around. Tipped both a few bucks because I plan on coming back next trip. Not the best bang for your buck but worth a visit-
