Slow but personal attention

I visited Scarlett's on Thursday Sep 21 from about 8:30 to 10:15. It is in an open field just beyond the town with the only thing past it a car junkyard with a sign "Pick-Ur-Part". There is a large self parking lot well paved and well lit with a fence all around it. Staff members were always outside the door monitoring the lot as well. I initially drove by at about 5 pm on my way to my hotel so I would know where is was for later. I make the following observations about the number of cars in the lots of the 3 clubs on Bunkum road: Scarlett's about 30 cars both at 5 pm and later, Hustler also about 30 cars at 5pm and later, and for the 3rd cllub Miss Kitty's only 2 cars at 5 and about 6 later. The building has neon lights outlining the roof. Cover was $10, no ID check for an old man like me and no security check.

It is quite a large club probably could hold 200 customers easily. The entrance is in the center of the long side of the rectangular building. As you enter on the left is the main stage protruding from the opposite wall with the bar on the right of that. There is also another large and long stage called the runway on the right end of the building. A third stage was in a partially walled off separate room in the left part of the building, not in use this night, maybe used for private parties. Restrooms were on the leftmost wall. There were chairs alongside both the main stage and the runway and tables and chairs throughout the room. The furniture was fancily uphostlerd. Lighting had the usual rotating lights but there were also a lot of long neon lights. Screens around the room were showing sports.

A large projection screen between the main stage and the bar was showing ad's for the cllub between songs and during songs was showing music videos corresponding to the song being played. The only thing still saying the old name Hollywood were signs on the surface of the stages.
