This is a very large club, almost a warehouse of empty space. I was here when about fifteen girls were working, some of whom were quite fetching. They're less glitzy than PP, where everyone is a "seasoned" and jaded stripper, but then they're also less skilled. They don't come up to you, not the ones you want to, here at Babes, they just sit in the corner and mope, or sit with a guy who isn't buying them anything and chat for a few hours. Yes, hours. There were plenty of 6, 5, 4 girls working, and a few of the more "ghetto" looking of them solicited me for more than just a lapper in the VIP. Seems about $100 will get you to the promised land, if the offers were for real. I didn't take anyone up on any of them. I think I could have had more fun if the dance prices were $20 per song instead of $40 -- the quality of this place and of the girls doesn't merit the higher. Oh, and they don't tell you until AFTER you've paid your cover that there's a 2-drink minimum. I didn't really mind, but it's clear from the pattern of conversation that it's deliberate on the part of the door staff to mislead you unless you ask a totally explicit question (and how would you know to ask?) that there would be no hidden charges. That's the sort of joint this is -- not cool, not classy. But some good times could be had, I guess.
