Do yourselves a favor and go!

So I finally took the Hong Kong plunge after hearing and reading about it for what felt like years...wow.

I had a very good game plan in place which seemed to work well so here goes if you're interested: I flew into San Diego from NYC and booked a Super 8 in National City to keep my personal things there (clothes, money, laptop, etc.). I had a Master Suite in Hotel Cascadas (above Hong Kong) already booked for the weekend but I wasn't entirely sure about bringing everything with me since it was my first time there...it pays to have the peace of mind I guess.

Eventually packed an overnight bag and headed to border crossing which was very quick most of the time (only time I got hung up was coming back to the U.S. on a weekday morning - 1 hr wait), once you're through Customs just follow the crowd to the taxi line and $5-7 dollars will get you to Hong Kong. Since I arrived on a Friday night, I ended up paying a $5 cover to get inside and the cover charge includes a can of Heineken. My first impression of the place was that I knew I was going to be in for a hell of a time - I played it safe since I was by myself and just stood by the entrance and took it all in before mustering up the courage to do a lap around the place. The club has 3 floors with bars and stages on each floor, usually the infamous shaving cream show took place on the 2nd floor but there were times when it went down on the stage towards the back of the 1st floor.
