First visit to King Henry

Not knowing LA well, I had once before gotten as far as driving past King Henry, circling around and parking at the lot across the street from the club, but the area seemed (to an unfamiliar visitor) pretty dicey, and I had ended up heading over to Starz instead.

On a subsequent visit to LA, I felt more comfortable with the area, and after a disappointing visit to Starz (where it seemed that every girl was only interested in the club 'regulars'), I decided to give King Henry another chance. Mostly glad I did.

The club is small and unglamorous. Most of the customers on my visit were sitting at the bar, and many of the girls were there as well. I think I paid a $10 entrance charge, but the drinks were relatively inexpensive. There was a steady sequence of dancers on the central stage. It seemed like neither a tip parade, nor a 'make it rain' kind of joint, at least before midnight on a Thursday night. Some customers were throwing a few bucks on the stage for their dancers they liked. There was a great variety of dancers, from big'n'thick to thin but curvy, some very attrarctive to some who made you want to look away from the stage. But based on my experience, as long as you can find one that really gets you sprung, and they give you the time of day, it's all good. And there were more than one girl that met that standard on this club
