Don't Bother

After my last, less than stellar visit over a year and half ago, I had no intention of returning to Rumors. However, I was southeast of Atlanta and finished business early, so I decided to stop by and see if things were any better. Big mistake.

I pulled into the parking lot at about 3:00 p.m. There were about three-dozen cars in the parking lot, so things looked promising. A sign at the entrance to the parking lot said “valet only.” That wasn’t there last time. I pulled into parking lot and cruised slowly to the front door. The valet was sitting outside in a chair next to small counter. Despite the “valet only” sign, he made no move to get up and just waved me toward an open spot. Fine with me, I don’t like valets anyway. When I parked and walked to the door, he charged me $3. There was no cover charge.

Stepping inside, my first thought was: who did all of those cars belong to? The place was mostly empty. There seemed to be two or three cars in the lot for every person inside. Counting me, there were six customers scattered around the big bar and five dancers, four black and one white. The best I can say about them is that they were not hideous.
