Finally got a chance to check...
Finally got a chance to check this place out for myself. As others have said, the place is good--easily one of the best I've been to in the country. Went on a Monday night, 11:30 PM. The place was at about 40% capacity. There were at least 25 dancers. All were 6-8's, mostly young, and there was easily something there for everyone.
What knocked it down from a '10'? Cover was $20, where I would have liked to have seen $10 on a weeknight. For a 10, I would have liked to see a VIP room, in which case I think it would completely blow The Playhouse (one of my ATF's) out of the water. Dance and stage tipping pressure was constant, albeit mainly low pressure. There were exceptions. For instance, the dancer who was offended when I turned down her "money back guarantee if I wasn't satisfied." Anybody have luck trying to get out of paying for one of those? My usual M.O is to stay out of that situation to begin with. Also, I found the negotiate for dances kind of stupid. Isn't that obvious to begin with? They should post a price and then folks can negotiate based upon the dancer and how full the room is. Like the editor's comments, I too found $25 the norm. (So, why don't they just post $25?)
Unlike some of the other reviewers, I found out 50% of the dancers would engage in some form of small talk. Generally these were the ones that I was least interested in, but I give them credit for trying. And keep trying rejection after rejection they did. My luck improved somewhat by completely avoiding eye contact and chatting up people at the stage. Every time I stood back from the stage I would be swarmed.
