My favorite downtown club.

I like this place for what it's not. It's not trying to be some eclectic, hipster Portland strip club and it's not trying to be a "neighborhood" bar where some girls just happen to be dancing naked. It's just a regular ole strip club like you would find anywhere in the US. It's within walking distance of downtown hotels if you don't mind a little stroll through the city, but you have to make your way through the hordes of homeless...but you have to do that for almost any place in Portland these days. Safe enough though, most everyone is harmless.

Anyway, I last stopped by on a Thursday evening, late (for me) about 10:30. I can't remember the cover, but it wasn't much. It was hard to tell how many dancers were actually there, there are a few rooms and many of the dancers were with customers, maybe 10 or more. The main room is functional for a strip club. A visible stage right in the middle, the room isn't too big, too light or too dark, and there's good, semi-private seating all around. Very comfortable. The dancers ranged from 5 - 7, certainly attractive enough for me and were quite friendly. After ordering a mixed drink (which was strong by the way), I was able to relax and watch a few dancers before an dancer came to chat with me. I bought her a drink (no pressure...I offered) and she bought me a shot of her newest favorite tequila. Very pleasant.

After a while we went back to more private booth for some dances (five for $100). She was very friendly and it was fairly hands-on but no extras were offered or asked for. I didn't get the sense that that kind of thing was allowed here. There was a special VIP room that you could pay for by the half hour, but I wasn't interested in that.
