Sad to see this place decline

This used to be one of my favorite places pre-2015. Yeah it can be described as a dive bar, but I always had fun. A small place with one stage. Entryway and a bar with TV on one side and two pool tables on the other. A handful of tables and a small semi-private room fill the rest of the club. In the past the patrons seemed to know each other and the bartenders/dancers were very friendly. They told stories of staying after to get together for everything from jello shots and partying to playing cards or board games. Fun place.

Over the last two years or so things have definitely changed. There is not that same feeling of a 'Cheers' type place. Girls seem quick to ask for drinks and extra tips. I'm all for tipping at the rail and for dances. That should be a given. But the last time I stopped by I was only there for 15 min before leaving. During that time I had been asked to run next door and buy a girl a burrito, asked to order the dancers a pizza and asked to tip someone $10 as a 'conversation tip' for talking to me at the bar.

Needless to say I did not even make it past my first beer at the bar before leaving. Hopefully this was just an off night. As much as I hate to say it and I do love to support the small town clubs...I won't be coming back to Mast any time soon.
