No Problems for this Gringo. A Great Time
In Las Vegas for a convention, so this trip started on Wednesday about 9:00. Decided to go to CB due to the bad reports and to take one for the team. That is a lie, because I actually went because many of the reports said CB was a cheap dive and I am a cheap SOB. How bad could it be? Note that I am a 5’8”, 200lb, 60+, so I was not going to fit it. Read not at all intimidating to most anyone. I have some facility with Spanish. (The day before I was in Tijuana, as Latin girls get me going.)
Some reports indicated the area is sketchy, so I approached the parking lot with caution. It turned out to be well lit and the club is across from Jerry’s Nugget. You should always be alert, was I was no more concerned as I would be in the parking lot of the Rancho Cordova (CA) and Reno (NV) clubs I frequent. There was no charge for the parking and plenty of room.
Cover on Wednesday was $5, which was shocking to me. Since most other LV clubs are reputed to have a cover of $40+, this was a nice surprise. The cashier looked like a dyke biker, but was very nice in her demeanor. She did require that I show an ID, but it was not scanned and I was not frisked. Had JD on-the-rocks for $7.50, so I started to question if I was actually in a LV strip club. Again, because of reports of $12 and up being the standard for a drink in LV clubs.
