Just Wow

All I have to say is wow. First time at HK and it was a lot to take in. Came on a Tuesday around 8:30pm via the Blue Line trolley from downtown SD. Cost $2.50, highly recommend. Drops you right at the new border, follow the crowd, and you'll soon be crossing the border. Hop in a cab, cinco to HK, and you're there in less than five mins.

Patted down at the door, no cover, walk in and...boom. Sensory overload. Loud music, tons of girls, strange mix of people ranging from locals to tourists, to older white men in ties, to Asian couple tour groups. Took a few laps around just to get oriented - the club isn't as big as I thought it would be, pretty much three main areas: front, back, and upstairs. People weren't pushy and you could just sit at the stage and not even order drinks if you wanted.

Interesting about this club is that you really have to take the initiative, which is different from US clubs, where the dancers are usually hustling. Here, it's generally on you to approach and talk to the girl or girls you like. Drinks were $9 for the girls and $4 for yourself (beers). Heard a lot of "let's go upstairs" but wasn't interested. I'd say most of the girls were 7-8, couple 9s, no 10s. Lots of braces, which was interesting.
