Friday before Labor day

This visit was on Friday Sep 1, the beginning of Labor day weekend, from about 8:30 to 10 pm. The club is on Westlake avenue a few blocks south of Denny Way on kind of the north side of downtown Seattle. It is in the basement of a building housing a large adult store, which includes live peep shows according to its advertising. It's in a business area. The offices of Amazon are in this area I believe and the adult store was advertising 20% off for Amazon employees. The entrance to the club is down a flight of stairs from a door on a side street. I walked about 6 blocks from my hotel. Parking might be available on the street in the evening. The store and club do not have their own parking.

This was my first time in a DejaVu club. ID was checked and I paid a cover of $22, which includes non-alcoholic drinks, the only ones available. This place calls itself an "initimate gentleman's club" and is not very big, maybe 60 seats. It was very dark and had low ceilings. The stage with one short pole was surrounded by rows of chairs and a few small tables. The stage was very low to the ground. There were two very busty waitresses wearing athletic shorts, shirts and sox. There were not many customers while I was there, about 10 to 12 including a few women. A dancer I talked to said it gets busy around midnight Friday and Saturday. She said she only danced those two nights and worked in a bank the rest of the week. There were 10 to 20 dancers and more coming in. Most were reasonably young, about 2/3 white, 1/3 black. Stage dances were sets of two, some got nude in the 2nd song, some not.

There were two sets of lap dance booths, both have cubicles open on one end but otherwise with walls separating them from each other. One set of booths was in the main room, the other set was in a separate room allowing a little more privacy.
