More like Paradise LOST
After a terrible visit to the Alpine (in town for business) I stopped by the Paradise for a review. Just off one of the main roads, the venue is large, well lit with ample parking. Overall the place was dead and have to believe the significant investment that they made in the overplayed Tiki bar crap this place will be out within the year. Upon entrance got some juice head patting me down. The kicker here is the $20 cover. They try and sell you discounted packages up front ranging from $50 to $200 suggesting that you will save a few bucks. I think the $200 package includes admission, 2 drinks and 15 minute VIP.
They give you some cheesy casino token to use. Guess they don't trust the girls to manage the money. After the pat down and payment was buzzed into the main room. Bar is immediately in front of you. Seating and stage area to the back left. I must admit I cannot stand this Tiki bar Tahitian type places. Their investment is clear; with cheesy tiki torches throughout.
Again don't think such a theme will work in the blue collar town of 'Cuse. I ordered a bourbon and think i paid 15 bucks for it. Laughed out loud because the rookie bartender who was limited in her controls of pouring booze literally poured me 1/4 ounce. By the time 1 of the 2 dancers joined me, it was last call. The coolest thing about this place is the cage that lowers from above to cover the liquor bottles to prevent theft. Just another example of how the ownership trusts no one. Pass.
