Canadian scenery

From previous reviews I didn't expect much, but as it was my last night in Canada and the club was only a block and a half from my hotel I thought what the hell. Note prices are in Canadian dollars. Granville street is one of the main drags of Vancouver, being the extension of the main highway from Seattle. A block on one side of Granville are most of the brand name hotels while in the other direction a few blocks is the yuppie haven of Yaletown which has several streets full of trendy restaurants and bars.

This part of Granville itself is however not so hot. In the same block are some backpacker hostels, cheap restaurants and also some empty storefronts.

There are two sex shops across the street at the end of the block. There were several homeless people sleeping on the sidewalk.

My visit was on Thursday August 31. I arrived about 9:30 and stayed until 11. I believe the place opened at 8. My ID was scanned and I payed a cover of $15. The inside of the club is quite posh. Most of a floor has been removed to make a two story high open space. There is a small mezzanine that wasn't being used for seating this night. The stage is in one corner near the entrance and has a two story high pole that some of the dancers were making good use of. It also had a ring suspended above the stage. The place is not particularly large might hold 80 customers if packed. There were chairs and tables around the stage and a bar on the opposite wall.
