Gold Club review

Gold Club is one of a few clubs in Stone Park, Illinois. It's definitely the newest club, although the nearby shuttered/torn down Allure was only a few years older. Like other Stone Park clubs, Gold Club is topless only and generally overpriced. You park into a tiny lot where the mandatory valet is $6. i think the parking they use is off site, although they like to park the fancy cars near the front of the club. There might be a bouncer outside the door that check IDs (even if you're well over 21; why they do that i'm not sure) and then when you get inside there will usually be a girl at the desk. This time there was another bouncer (i guess she was on break or something).

Cover (Thursday late night) is another $10, but if you show them a text (number is on the website), you can get in for free. The bouncer looked mildly annoyed that i used the text, but if it's available i'm not wasting a dollar to get in, except maybe to tip a hot desk girl, but not a bouncer.

You then walk down a dark corridor that leads to the restrooms (with troll, at least for the men) as well as a bouncer that ushers you to a table. Usually a waitress is pretty quick to accost you for a drink, but i actually had to wait a while this time. At their prices ($8 for an imported beer, $5 for cheap end water, $9 for a mixed drink) i was in no rush to order. The bouncer actually came by a while later asking if the waitress had seen me as they really need to sell drinks to make money on Thursdays (with them not making any money from the dancers' dances or people like me using the text for free cover). So they'll probably be more vigilant about making sure that customers always have drinks.
