Goodbye Safari

Well, I stopped by to see a friend at Safari and the place was empty. I thought they were going to be around for another month but it certainly does not look that way. Bartender, some dude and one dancer on shift. One other patron. I ordered a beer, went to the stage and ended up hanging out with a very fun, interesting and attractive dancer.

We ended up chatting for a good while before heading to the back for a few dances. In normal circumstances I would come back next week to hang out with my new acquaintance, but this was probably my last visit to Safari. Apartments soon. Rose City is probably the next to fall. Hawthorne Strip next? DeNicola's? I suppose this is the price of progress in the city of roses.
