They rip off the dancers

I've been going into the club off and on for 20 years. You'd have to live in a cave to be unaware as to how pricey it is. So I'm tired of hearing customers complain about the cost of entry/drinks/dances. But it's also pretty unique in the fun you can have with a private dance. What I learned on this particular occasion that perturbed me was that the dancers earn either nothing or next to nothing for their first two private dances of the shift.

I heard two versions of this. The first was that they get nothing for the first two, then half of subsequent ones. The second version (which I did observe) was that they get $15 (out of $50) for each of the first two. I think it's absurd, and the dancers think it is also, but it's their choice to work under those rules. I was there for 2-3 hours and there were never more than a half dozen other customers.

I went back a couple weeks later, on a Saturday, and was there two hours. There was one customer when I arrived. He left, and not one showed up while I was there. That day there were eight dancers. Not one danced on stage during my visit. So, unless you're going there for other reasons, it's kind of a waste of time and money, imho.
