Not as bad as it looks from the outside

I have been passing this place for years in a dumpy looking strip center that is now on the edge of a gentrifying area. I finally decided to stop in late one Friday evening. Parking seems ok that late as nothing else is open except the convenience store and the place was not very crowded for a Friday. I was met at the door by one of the waitresses (Maya?) who was pleasant and told me the cover was $10. She took my entrance fee and went to the bar and retrieved a beer for me as well. Beers are not outrageous, I think about $6.

The club is not very large. There is a main stage at one end and the bar at the opposite end. There are a few tables and chairs on the floor in front of the main stage. Off to the sides and up a step or two are other slightly more secluded areas. There is a second smaller stage closer to the bar side of the room and a pool table very close to the bar area. There looked to be an outdoor patio in the back to the right of the bar. I did not go out but I am guessing it was for mingling and smoking. So, the outside of the club kind of fooled me. It is not upscale but it was reasonably nice inside compared to the outside.

There were girls dancing on stage (not topless) and mingling with the patrons. It looked like a lot of regulars around the bar, kind of like a neighborhood bar atmosphere. The girls were fairly nice and friendly and decent looking this night. They were mostly black girls with maybe one or two hispanic girls that I saw. No knockouts but my expectations were not high. I sat with one girl in an area off to one of the sides. I found out later that there is a $20 fee to sit in that area. For the club, not the girl. Evidently, there is a graduated fee there based on where you sit and the seclusion level. The girl I saw with was friendly and gave friendly dances.
