Better than some
I hadn't been to Electric Blue in a looooonnnnnng time, because the guys who ran it years and years ago took over a great club in Hartford, turned it into a hole, and had it shut down by the state cops. But the Hartford scene has turned dismally boring rhis summer, so I was nearby and thought I would check it out.
The physical setup was good, a big bar, lots of spce to move around, lots of table space, comfortable seats up close to the stage. Clean floor space, clean bathrooms. Not that brightly lit, but not at all the dingy, dim lighting I've run into in other CT clubs.
The DJ wasn't real active, announcing the dancer change, usually, and lightly plugging the private dances, but mercifuly not the over-and-over tip-the-dancers-tip-the-barmaid-we don't pay them-so-you-have-to that certain other clubs DJs won't stop doing. Music selection not so good. Seemed like almost every song was at the same medium speed medium beat.
