I get it.

I was in Atlanta for work and had time to kill on a Sunday afternoon and as I was only five miles away from the infamous Follies I decided to go down and check it out.

Follies is tucked away across from a giant shopping center which is easy to park in during the day, getting across the street is fairly easy as there is a MARTA bus stop near Follies with a crosswalk so you can get from the shopping center to Follies fairly easily. Once there you pay the $5 cover with the girl to the right who then has to do a security check, while I tipped the feel up was perfunctory at best. Once inside you are almost immediately blinded as the place is extremely dark following being out in the mid-day georgia sun. There is a sunken bar area in the middle of the club with limited seating and then there are two stages that surround the bar area on the outside of the stages are a couple of seating areas as well as a long row of couches for dances. At 1:30 on a Sunday the place was already getting busy but was not packed. I went down to the bar and grabbed a domestic beer for 6 bucks and then watched the stage and the ladies around. I was initially disheartened as the girls were not all that cute with several extremely heavy ones around. However as the clock got closer to 2, there were suddenly many more attractive ladies around and I figured out what the big deal was, the mix was about half white and half black and Latina, I didn't see the Cubans that everyone had spoken about, but there were a lot of dancers in a great mix and the couches started to get really busy.

I sat at the bar and made a friend with a black dancer with great naturals who was a good conversationalist, but when I got a dance she said it was $20 and then there wasn't a ton of contact, I paid and then cut it off at one. She stuck around mentioned the looser rules in the place, but that she wasn't down with it, I told her that was fine but I was looking to play and so she moved on and I made friends with a blond spinner who took me up to the couches for the ten dollar dances, great contact, but the bottoms stayed on for the first song, second song was great too and I got to the point where I was ready for VIP, we went ahead and booked the room, went behind the beads and got comfortable, a songs later Inleft very happy for a very reasonable rate.
