Dalene Is Trying
This club is changing. We need to accept it will never be what it was, but what it is becoming is not a bad thing.
Chatting with Darlene, she is embracing this and trying to make the club as good as she can. Basically she has to play the cards she is dealt. She tries to keep the "bad" element out (i.e., drugs, fights, etc.) and keep it fun for the rest of us. We all know the industry is changing. There are so many places for the talent to find employment. We also know that the current generation of dancers have a different set of mores and attitudes toward this job (and the patrons). What we are seeing is the new normal. I think (as others have suggested), the market is starting to balance itself -- supply and demand tend to do that -- we'll get the entertainment we crave and they will get the compensation they want.
Enough with the lesson and onto the actual review. Wednesday was a fun night. Not very busy, but a lot of talent. Most of the ladies were a lot of fun. They were happy to talk and chill out. There were thankful for every stage tip. The lap dane area was being used by all the patrons, but I didn't see a single VIP get sold that night. Most of the ladies were not that excited when the prospect of a VIP was raised (but that may just be a statement about not wanting to go back with me).
