Only a couple real negatives

Finally got around to visiting Mouse in Knox. This is probably the most well known club here according to people who told me about it. I can compare it to Ball also in Knoxville which I previously reviewed. I prefer Mouse's atmosphere and dancers. But the big negative here is the air dances. Makes it so the dances pretty much are not worth it. I'm not sure how dancer dependent this is but mine told me that's how it was going to be at the get-go. Also the couch dance area is not very private at all. It's like the whole club has a view of you as it's just off in a corner. The girls here seem to be less into mingling than Ball, but that can actually be a good thing as it means if you have the $$, you can earn their attention without having to worry about them wandering off as it is in other clubs where they feel they need to mingle more.

So vibe of the club is pretty solid. It feels like a "safe" location which is good since a lot of clubs in Appalachia give you a dive type feel. The clients seemed a bit younger than the Ball which was filled with middle aged dudes, but I've only been here one night. The main stage has a girl handling business and that's where some people congregate the girls rotate around and sometimes disappear to the back for ages. Girls were reasonably polite which was nice, but most of them seem to be on a bit of autopilot as it pertains to giving attention, in other words you have to stop them, don't expect them to mingle.

The one thing that I really liked though is that it did not seem to be dominated by regulars. Other clubs in this region I have been to have regular guys who basically hog a dancer for an entire night. No such arrangement here at Mouse on this particular evening, which was a Friday. Decent amount of dancers in number, I'd say very similar to Ball. BYOB, so they don't serve alcohol if you want that.

So all in all, decent atmosphere, looks like an experienced joint (a dancer told me they've been in business for decades), but the big issues are air dances. I wish we could take the best of Ball contact and combine it with Mouse prices and atmosphere and you'd have a much better club than either. Oh well, this is TN after all.
