I’ve been to the The Runway a couple time in the afternoon in the past and never thought much of the place. I found myself in Hillsboro for a birthday on Friday evening and decide to check out the club at night. I arrived about 10:30 and the parking lot was about 75% full.

They have done some work on the exterior of the club since my last visit. There was a smoking area to the right of the door that was covered and partially hid the smokers from the street that was now gone. It appears they have built a new area to the left.

I was surprised there was a cover, $5 I think. The inside looked the same except for the addition of the video poker machines. They had both stages going and a DJ that was very hard to understand, but liked the sound of his own voice. At one point he was rapping over the music while girls were on stage. Overall it was a party atmosphere.
