How much?

After a lengthy hiatus, I'm back and checking out the clubs again. Unfortunately, I made the mistake of beginning at Gentlemen's Playhouse. I haven't been to this club in several years, and since I had some time this evening, I thought I'd stop by and see if it had improved. It had not. Admission was $9.00 - it used to be $5.00 on weeknights. That wasn't so bad, but what really got me was the pricing.

I ordered the same drink 3 times, and was charged a different price each time - by the same bartender! There were no dance rates posted anywhere, and the girls were all over the place with their pricing. One was charging $10.00 for a table dance, the next was $20.00. VIP dance prices were also inconsistent. They started at $30/song, went to $40/song and finally I had one dancer offer me 2 for $50, with a t-shirt.

My suggestion is to shop around and ask the girls what their rates are before getting a dance - you might be unpleasantly surprised otherwise. Even the bird dogs were getting in on the action and taking their own tips when making change! The dancer quality was all over the place as well. Of the 10 girls working, two were really pretty, most were average and there were two that were just plain fugly. The club did have a good ethnic mix, but many of the girls were rocking the mommy tummies - no hard bodies here this night. And the customer to dancer ratio was low, so the ladies were pushing the VIP dances hard and often.
