Monday in LA

There’s a reason no one has reviewed this club since last year—it’s terrible! That alone should have been an indication to avoid this place. But since I had a meeting down the street, and a “free pass”, I decided to check it out. Needless to say I won’t be back.

I left my car parked where it was and walked over to the club. The area isn’t the best (especially late at night) so the club stood out like a sore thumb. Nice looking exterior--with a doorman, carpet, nice car parked out front, etc. The doorman opened the door for me and I walked in towards the pay area. Even though it was almost 10 PM on a Monday night the girl wanted to charge me $20. I had a main street “free pass” I had gotten from the North Hollywood Deja Vu. The girl took it and charged me $10. While dealing with her I didn’t hear any real noise coming from the other side of the door leading into the main club. No loud music, no DJ over the sound system and no customers. I took my change and opened the door to a dead club. I made a rookie mistake by not looking inside before I paid the cover.

I took a seat on one of the big couches/booths off to the side. The first thing that hit me was the smell of marijuana. That may explain why the music was REALLY low, everyone was just chilling and getting high? There were only three dancers on the floor. All were sitting with someone. One black, One Hispanic, both trashy looking, and one thick white girl that was laying down on a sofa with her head in a customers lap. None were my type. The few customers there were all Hispanic.
