Subi's looked like the prototypical Detroit area club from the outside. It was a small club, valet parking, multiple small stages, mini-VIP in the front of the club behind perv glass, and curtained VIP booths in the back. Food is served here and some of the locals claimed that it was decent. Everything looked ordinary, but the attitude of dancers and staff made this place (along with Criket) stand out.

From the moment we got out of the car, the valet guy was friendly while boasting of how they had the best show south of the river. I am not a local, so I don't recall which river he was referring to. When we stepped in, waitresses greeted us warmly and the manager even came up to shake our hands and offer to seat us wherever we liked. There was no fee for booths unlike a lot of other clubs in the area. I don't understand clubs that bleed customers out of $20 for a booth when there are only 5 patrons in a club.

There were 11 dancers when we got there mid-afternoon. A couple more might have trickled in during our time there on the dayshift. Waitresses differentiated themselves from dancers by wearing bodices. This seemed like an unnecessary distinction given that all waitresses actually took turns on the stage as well. Even though there were few customers, 2 girl sets tried to put on decent shows. Girls would stop by to say hello without being terribly pushy.
