Attacked on all fronts

We swung by on a Saturday evening a little while back and it will most likely be my last time. I called for the shuttle and about 15 min later he was there to pick us up and because we took the shuttle we also got in without a cover. The only saving grace. Upon entry there were approximately 4 girls waiting a few feet in. They grabbed us and immediately told us they were giving us a tour, which consisted of walking us straight back to the VIP area and hitting hard and fast.

We were all quoted variously high prices for VIP depending on the dancer, 800-1100 for an hour, 600-700 for 30 min, and 300 for 15 min, plus tips of course. I felt like I was escaping a full nelson trying to just get out of there and grab a drink. Before any of my friends managed to get out, I headed to the bar and didn't even have time to get the bartenders attention for a drink before two more girls sat in my lap asking when I was going to take them for a dance, even going as far as to call the bartender over and start ordering drinks for themselves before I told the bartender I would like a beer and nothing else. The girls begged for even just water ($8) which due to the previous impertinence I declined. I finally got a drink and headed to an empty seat soon to be joined by my friends. Then a virtually constant flow of girls would sit in my lap, make stripper chit chat (going to school, etc.), and a waitress would ask if I would like to buy the lady(who I've known for about 12 seconds) a drink. The dancer would ask if I'd be interested in VIP, quoting the steep prices as before. Only a few dancers would even do regular $20 dances and felt like it was a huge inconvenience to do so. Time to cut our losses and head elsewhere.

Overall the club was mostly dead, granted it is summer which is insanely slow, but the older (35+) dancers and the pressure led us to leave much earlier and with almost all our cash.
