Different

I stopped in on a weekday afternoon. The Lamplighter is on the north edge of St. Paul on the corner of Rice and Larpenter. I believe six girls were working--three were white and three were AA. They ranged about 4-7 in looks body wise, in my opinion. One of the AA girls had a really cute face.

There was no cover in the afternoon. Tap beers were about three bucks or so. I can't remember exact prices of drinks but they were reasonable. The club is as has been described by other reviewers--girls under glass. The bar takes up most of the right side of the club and a glass enclosed stage takes up most of the left side. There is seating in front of the stage but most of the customers sat at the bar and didn't seem too interested in the stage or dances. A couple of the girls were hanging around guys at the bar who seemed like bar regulars. The club had a very blue collar neighborhood bar feel in the afternoon. At night I think the neighborhood gets a little rougher.

It was a pretty relaxed atmosphere in the afternoon. The dancers weren't pushy. In fact, some of them seemed almost indifferent and didn't spend much time among the patrons. I did get a dance from two of the girls who I thought looked the best and seemed pleasant. $10 was the dance cost on the couches in the open which was good as far as pricing but really in the open, to the point of being uncomfortable. The back had more privacy but still not private if anyone else was in the back room. The back room dances were $20 and I opted for the semi privacy after trying one $10 dance in the open area. The problem in the open area is that there is a rail/counter facing the stage, about 20 feet from the stage. The couches are toward the stage, backed right up to the rail/counter. Thus some dude might be sitting right behind you and facing you when getting a $10 dance. I liked the $20 semi private dances better anyway, given the pricing. The $10 dances were Minnesota "no touching the girls". Both dancers I got $20 dances from gave a good dance in the back and at least allowed my hands on their legs and asses. The girls stayed dressed but didn't hesitate to shove their tits in my face and gave a good grind without overdoing it. By Minnesota standards, the contact was pretty decent. The girls were also down to earth and easy to talk to between dances.
