Yikes

I am typically a huge fan of Mario's, and as a casual visitor to typically New England clubs, I've written largely glowing remarks about it many times. Per usual, the club is clean, the location convenient and safe, the wait staff excellent, and the beer selection and value ($6 for a Fat Tire or other choice micros) is really impressive.

Unfortunately, while I usually come through on Fridays when I get a chance, I gave another day a try. Tuesday afternoon, and the place was PACKED. Unfortunately, it was packed with a string of guys. Half much older types, 60+ looking for their special ladies, and half working guys swinging through for a beer. Very few girls, and all of them were either totally preoccupied with specific customers or their iPhones. I had to hunt down girls just to talk, and then it wasn't all that impressive.

There's plenty of talent here - even on a Tuesday most girls were cute, and all of them were busy. A few heavier girls and a few much older ones, but they felt more like niche girls to meet specific freaky requests than par for the course. Plenty of cute white girls. Plenty of cute black girls. None engaging me as a customer, even as I approached a couple, tipped several at the rail, and made long eye contact with others. Short of putting up a neon "I HAVE SEVERAL HUNDRED BUCKS READY TO ROLL" sign on my shirt, I'm not sure what else I could have done.
