Waste of time, partly my own fault

I visited The Den around 7 pm on a Wednesday. It wasn't really on my radar but I had been given a recommendation by another TUSCL member and I decided to give it a shot. Despite being right near one of the busiest roads in America, the area surrounding the club feels very desolate. The club itself looks so rundown and abandoned (with an almost empty parking lot, too) that, at first, I thought it might be closed. I pulled into the parking lot and was almost sideswiped by another car that was also entering the lot at the same time.

The other car quickly pulled out and sped away, leaving a grand total of three vehicles in the lot, including mine.  Absolutely zero privacy from prying eyes in the lot, but luckily since there were so few cars parked, I didn't have to walk very far to get to the entrance. Greeted at the door by a bored-looking, extremely busty, light-skinned WOC or blatina. She charged me $15 for the cover and I asked her when the night shift begins. To my amazement, she said it already had begun, despite the fact that the joint was almost empty! But whatever, I figured I would sit and wait, and meanwhile the door girl went off to check to see when other girls would be arriving. I was the only customer there, of course, but after a few minutes some other guys trickled in.

At its peak, I think I was one of three or four customers. The interior of the club is as nondescript as the exterior. There are rows of uncomfortable vinyl-covered chairs on wheels. The light show looks a little like fireworks, and an annoying smoke machine occasionally wheezes and puffs, making the whole club smell dank and foul. Delilah's Den in Toms River always smelled exactly like that, too. In fact, even though I haven't been there in many years, I recognized some of the bouncers from DDTR, because apparently they own the South Amboy location, too. Anyway, the dancer rotation began as soon as I sat down by the stage. First up was another light-skinned WOC or blatina named Gigi, I think, followed by an older white woman named Frankie. Both of them seemed playful and eager to have a dance but definitely weren't my type.
