Chill Vibe, Cold Beer and Warm Slacks
Intimate atmosphere, reasonably priced drinks and great views in Deja Vu. Not very crowded on an early Friday evening, I was charged a $3 cover and could seat anywhere as close to or far back from the stage as desired. With only about 7 or 8 patrons present, there plenty of seats available.
First off, you see a low level stage in the center of the room with comfortable chairs on casters to roll up to the stage to take advantage of the "Stevies" offered stage-side. Before you even decide to sit there you notice that the majority of the dancers are covered with tattoos from the tops of their feet, on their thighs, midsections, arms, etc. WHY do I mention this, because this seems to be a juxtaposition from the club requirement for the wearing of those damn "pasties." Who wants to be slapped with adhesive-covered breasts ??? Not my fetish, thank you.
There was a nice mix of music, but the dancers were mostly rural/suburban White with the exception of a Filipino, I believe. Most were battle-worn journeymen of the Adult Entertainment sect. Private dancers, Bachelor Parties and other Strip Clubs in the Midwest. I spent a good deal of time buying drinks and sharing conversation with the dancers and other patrons. $20 for a bikini-clad Lap Dance behind a partitioned wall was not the best way for me to part with cash. Domestic Beers were $3 and my mixed drink might have been 5 or 6 bucks.
