Hollywood is now officially Scarlett's Cabaret
Had free pass to the grand opening party so went to check it out. For starters, there were more people in the club than I can ever remember. Found out from the waitress that it was an open bar from 7 - 10p. Didn't see that on the free pass but that explains the crowd. Note to other club owners, want to drum up some business, have an open bar party once a month, place was jumpin'. They did have a buffet at the far end, not spectacular, but decent bar type snacks, wings, meatballs, fruits, veggies and dip.
The previous version of this club has been reviewed numerous times so I think I'll just point out the changes as I can recall.
Dancers: Damn. There were definitely more and higher quality dancers than I ever recall. Most of the time at this club, there is clearly one or two 'hottest' dancers in the club. There must have been about 10 hottest dancers on this night. My buddy and I were having quite a debate and literally lost count of our top picks. The stage rotation took some adjustment. There was one dancer at each of three stages. Three songs later, the dancers rotated stages. After a dancer visited all three stages, she would step down and be replaced with a new girl. For the dancers, once you started up on stage, you were in stage mode for a half hour. For the customer. you only got 1 new dancer every three songs instead of three. Because there were so many dancers on this night, it took a long ass time to get through the lineup. The Good: I may have found my new current favorite if our schedules can line up. The Bad: word is that several of these girls came in from out of town from the other Rick's clubs just for the opening weekend. Time will tell if they can maintain the hotness level.
