Visited: Thursday Evening

It was Thursday evening and I had just had dinner with a friend who was visiting from out of town. We decided that some entertainment was in order so we headed North from the city center and ended up at Dreamgirls at Rick's. Parking wasn't a problem as there was plenty of parking, which in hindsight should have been a red flag. Paid the cover and went into the main room from the entrance closest to the men's room. It was a ghost town, with very few customers.

That is a shame as this club is one of the nicer clubs inside and out after it was rebranded a Dreamgirls club, part of the Deja Vu family. It was so slow that the back stage was shut down and the only action was on the main stage. This is usually not a problem if there is good talent in the house, but it was a very mixed bag this evening. We found a table near the end of the main stage to take in who was there but no one really interested either or us.

I don't know if it was just because it was slow, it took a while before any of the dancers even approached us (the fear of rejection has a strong affect on behavior). Adrianna finally came by and she was one of the few lookers at the club. She was super friendly and helped to redeem the evening, but by that time the both of us had had enough. We told her we were going to head out and she said she understood and hoped to see us again when the club was more lively. We called it a night and headed home feeling somewhat disappointed. Oh well, there's always next time or another club.
