Not terrible, but not great either

Mermaids is an unassuming bikini bar on St. Pete beach, just over the bridge. You walk in and immediately to your left is the main stage with tables and VIP booths along the walls. To your right is the bar and bathroom. Beware the bathrooms. There be dragons... In the back are stairs that lead up to the area where they do lap dances.

During the afternoon, there aren't many dancers working, although there are more in the afternoon. Dancers really seem to come and go here, but there have been a handful of 8s and 9s. The girls actually are pretty friendly from what I have found, willing to chat when its slow provided you intend to get a dance. The dances are nice, nudity and two way contact in the VIP room. I have been propositioned before here, but that's not my thing, and not every girl will. You do need to be careful as there are a few obvious druggies.

The bouncers and wait staff are good too and very friendly if you treat them like people (shocking!)
