Things are looking up

I've reviewed Candy Store before, and the floor plan hasn't changed any- main stage and a VIP area to the left, second stage, bar and another VIP to the right. Restrooms and dressing room in the middle. Cover was $8, given to a very pretty cell phone addict at the door. She commands a fair selection of bottled beers, but I was looking for a gin and tonic and so proceeded to the bar. I think well gin and tonic was $4.75. Dancers will usually buzz by and chat, and I bumped into a past fave. I got a big hug and a long chat with her before she went up on stage.

Over the course of the night I saw 14 couples, including the big group of four couples who were populating the northwest corner near the stage. The women customers were getting some great dances. There are some pretty comfy chairs on the floor, but go to couches along the wall if you want a lapper. The chairs will roll and slide and create havoc, and the girls dislike them. The girls, by the way, averaged in the 6-7 range with a few solid 8s in evidence. Most were white and Hispanic, with only one AA in evidence, and she seemed to have been finishing up her shift. Management needs to lay down the law about the girls sitting on their asses and staring bleary-eyed at their phones, but that seems to be an industry-wide problem.

The only negativity in the club that night came from a pair of guys who were trying to bargain their dancer down from the $10 table fee. She handled them well, but politely refused to give them a second dance. She recognized me from my last visit, so came and sat with me when I moved to the bar and vented for a while before suggesting a dance. Good grind, reasonable freedom for my handstand not much VIP upset. She went onstage and I connected with the past fave, whose game has really improved since last we met. We negotiated some VIP time.
