After almost of year of operation, I have come to this unfortunate conclusion: The Diamonds Lounge has made the King of Diamonds worse. Not for the club or the dancers, certainly, but for me. The past few times I've dropped by, several of the dancers are in the back giving VIP's to PL's who are willing to drop a few more dollars for a little more privacy but the same lack of contact. Many of them, including a few of my favorites too much of the time, are busy in that lounge the whole night, which means I don't get a dance from them, and I leave with a relatively full wallet. I am thinking about getting one of my ATF's, Claudia, in the back, just to see what the hell it's like. But right now I'm staying away based on principle: The KoD used to be the most egalitarian strip club in town, and I don't want to give in to the artsy-fartsy exclusivity that I capitulate to in most other SC's. (Late in the night, however, check the very back, where the second stage, second bar and DJ booth are: If it's empty back there, that tends to become a de facto private lap dance area. That's what I do: Ride the rail until the entire roster cycles through once, then retreat to the back to get my LD's.)

Because of the Diamond Lounge, I'm taking a point off. Other than that, though, I can't criticize a whole lot about the KoD. My other ATF from here, Cali, seems to have quit (and taken along her friend, another lifer, the fan favorite, country music-lovin' gal, Sassy, to parts unknown with her), but she's one of those who was in the Diamond Lounge constantly, and seemed really happy about it. I thought we were cool, but she became sort of a bitch near the end, so whatever, I still have my Claudia. The turnover has ramped up a bit, but one of the new girls coming in is someone I knew from Choice: Janessa, the big- (fake) boobed exotic who always has a flower in her hair. Love her and her conversation. This place is still highly recommended.
