Showed up last Monday at 10:30 p.m., paid my $15 cover, got my hand stamped and sat down at the bar. Remember, this is a non-alcoholic club. Ordered an O'Douls. Place seemed kind of dead, only saw 4 or 5 girls and as many patrons. Almost cut my losses and walked out. That would have been a mistake. The crowd and number of girls steadily picked up over the next hour and by 11:45 p.m. the club had energy and vibe. Every dancer in the place made a run on me for LDs, the VIP room upstairs or someting called the spaceship, some more aggressively than others. None took umbrage at my declines. A little after midnight I took the 3 for 60 deal with a bleach blonde Czech from Prague named Iveta, stagename Eva. (Eva had stood behind me rubbing my shoulders and back for 10 minutes.) She was enthusiastic, started mid-song which didn't count toward the 3. I could have had a happy ending had I wanted one. Returned to my seat at the bar, enjoyed the stage for another hour, and called it a night.
