An Off Night

I got here at 7:30 and stayed less than an hour. There were 6 dancers, 5 AA (some names: Lola, Cream, and Chanel) and 1 white, a little heavy (Jynx). This is a small club. There is parking on the street. Hours posted are 1 pm to 2 am every day. There is a long bar. 2 stages are present, but I've never seen the one in the back used even on the busiest night. There's a pool table in the back. Since last year, said the bartender, they put granite counters at the bar and around the stages; redid the stage lighting, remodeled the dancers' changing room, and the small private rooms.

Overall, not dramatically different. No admission is charged, but a drink set me back $4.50. Pizza is available.

The dancers, however, were either totally absorbed with their regulars or in the private rooms with customers ($100 for 15 min). Private dances are $25 (up from $20). A group of men was playing poker in the back area. I had been expecting dancer(s) to sit down with me and make conversation while giving me the handshake, as they had done previously, but tonight this didn't happen. There was no one on stage half the time I was there, either.
