I Could Have Done Better

After reading the reviews here and always been a fan of dive bars like this, I decided to give this place a try since I was in the area. I arrived around 5pm not wanting to be in the area before it got too dark. The parking lot had about a dozen cars when I arrived and my truck was able to manage the potholes.

I entered the building where I was greeted by the elderly doorman who stopped his conversation to give me a friendly greeting. He charged me $2 for cover and gave me a ticket. I walked in where I found the bar to my right. Of all the clubs I've been to, I've never been to one this dark. It took a while for my eyes to adjust. There were about eight customers at the bar and seemed to be familiar with each other. There were two other customers sitting at separate tables. I stood at the other end of the bar and tried to get the attention of the older lady tending bar. She seemed distracted and it took a while for me to get a beer. As I waited I looked around to see the women who were working. There was one AA and a younger brunette who were mingling with the other customers. A slender, young brunette came out from the back who quickly caught my attention but she immediately sat down with a guy at a table. Before I could be handed my beer, a older dancer came up to me, put her arm around my waist, and another on my chest. As I was handed my beer, she greeted me "downstairs" and suggested we should get a table. She told me her name but I honestly did not understand her.

I couldn't think of a reason not to and we took a table near one of the stages. She started rubbing my leg working up higher and she right off the bat told me to the dance offerings. She told me the $60 offering and the $140 offering but she told me she would lower it to $100 because she liked me. After reading the numerous reviews of the prices being $50 and $100, so I was not too interested. I told her I was not interested at the moment and was wanting to see a stage show or two. I was interested to see at least one after reading the reviews. She told me that no one goes up on the stage on Mondays because it never gets too crowded. She again asked to go private where I countered, telling her I wanted to check out all the girls working. As I said so, a tall blond with a tight body emerged from the changing room wearing a patriotic bikini. She was by far more attractive than the other girls, but she immediately returned to a customers lap. As she walked by, the one I was with told me this was all the girls that were going to be here on this day and asked for private again.
