Becoming a favorite

Another great visit to Atlantis. This club is becoming my clear favorite, to the point where I'll swing out of my way driving through NJ just to pay it a visit. For starters, I really appreciate the racially mixed crowd for a black strip joint and the low key vibe. Could be that's just because of the time of day I've gone on my three visits--I've typically been there between 7pm and 10pm, way too early for any young turks to be displaying their technique at making it rain. Not sure the club layout is all that conducive to such a scene anyway--the bar surrounding the t-shape stage separated by a little moat where the bartenders work prevents you from getting too close to the girls while they are dancing.

The not-your-traditional-black-strip-joint vibe is also reflected in the mix of dancers. Almost all of the dancers I've seen have been black, but they aren't all twerkers or pole stars. Plenty were content to just strut and turn in vague gestures at "dancing". Some girls left their clothes on for the entire time, while others quickly intoned. And there were plenty of body types - from thick to thin, tall and apple-bottomed to spinnerish waifs. On average, the beauty on display was better than most other clubs I've visited, and on every visit I've made there have been two or three girls that absolutely made my mouth water.

After completing their set of songs on the stages, the girls come around to collect tips from the guys at the bar, although this also seemed to vary quite a bit from dancer to dancer. Another nice feature of Atlantis, in my experience, is that the girls are very friendly and happy to sit with you, give you table dances for tips, or just talk, and I've found a number of them to be really fun to talk with. On the other hand, the club also has more than it's fair share of prowlers who are just trying to sell you on a private dance or two. And that's good, too! Because I've enjoyed each of the private dances I've had there--often to an illicit degree. If you find the right girl (and they're happy to identify themselves as such at the bar), you can have a very fun time if you've got some do-re-mi.
