This review covers two visits to Blush, on the evenings of Saturday July 1 and Sunday July 2. There were Pirates games, which I attended, both days. The late afternoon Saturday game ended about 8:30 pm and the Sunday afternoon game ended about 4:30. I was at Blush from about 11pm to 12:30 on Saturday and 9:30 to 11:15 on Sunday. The club is on 9th street about half a block off of Penn St. This is in between the area around the convention center and the so-called Cultural District.

It was less than 2 blocks from the hotel where I was staying. If you didn't already know you might from the outside wonder just what this place was. There was one sign with the name and a couple of other signs saying sports fans welcome, presumably referring to the sports bar that is part of the place. There was also an electrical marquee on the outside but nothing was displayed on it.

You enter a room with the front desk. On Saturday cover was $15 but on Sunday only $6. There was a sign saying one drink minimum. Not being an alcohol drinker both nights I had bottled water for $4.25. On Sunday I was given a card for free admission on return visits on Sunday-Tuesday and $5 off the rest of the week. They were also advertising free admission for college students on some days. That Saturday and a for a few days previous they had a feature dancer. I didn't get the name or see the shows which were at 11 and 1. They had an area fitted like a photographers booth which I surmise was where a customer could get their picture taken with the feature dancer. They were advertising other future feature dancer appearances including later in July some male strippers. In keeping with the attempt to be upscale all the male employees were wearing suits.
