Promising expierence

The number of clubs in Charleston leave for slim pickings. 3/4 are locating in a rough area just outside of downtown Charleston on opposite sides of the train tracks. This club, formerly known as Wild Joker, may become a new "go-to" place considering the steady decline of the other clubs.

Walking in a Friday evening, I was hesitant due to the rough exterior of the place and the "history" of the Wild Joker, but I still decided to take my chances. After walking in, I saw what I assumed to be where you'd pay a cover. Based on other reviews, I guess it's about $10, but I waiting for a solid 5 minutes and no one walked up to collect my cover charge. So I obviously just decided to walk right in without paying.

To my surprise, the club actually looks very nice. Not extremely big, but you can tell there has been some major renovation. Seats are nice and comfortable and the lighting and overall decor is not what was expected based on it's outside appearance. Never judge a book by it's cover I guess.
