could be better
Used to be THE strip club in Philadelphia. It looks like the owners haven't put the money into this club to keep it up. The walls look dirty, the club is kept too dark and the strobe lights only highlight a rather gloomy look. I didn't go for years, and now that I've come back, I don't remember how it used to look, except that it didn't have the beat up feel that it does now. An upscale club requires periodic reinvestment. Maybe the whole scene never recovered from the financial crisis? OK, enough complaining about the facility.
It's still a big club, with a lot of dancers. Long stage with bars at both sides and a big staircase leading down to the stage from the dressing rooms. Seating on raised platforms around the side (used to be an extra charge to sit there, haven't ever seen the advantage of being so far from the stage, so I didn't ask recently how they work). Chairs by the stage, which is raised so to sit there you need to crane your neck back. Unless it's really busy, those are mostly used when people want to tip. Small tables occupy most of the room.
Dancers used to be a lot more attractive. On a Friday or Saturday night, were solid 8-10, now 6-8. Two lap dance areas, one private area that I've been quoted prices around $800 for. Generally good grind, but little more because of roaming security. Metal detector and pat down when I entered. When I left, front desk wouldn't call me a taxi.
