Low-key bar with some boobs that needs more, or at least better, dancers
I haven't had great times at Wisconsin clubs, but I've occasionally had somewhat entertaining times so I keep trying them. I hadn't been to Bristol in a while and wasn't too far, so figured I'd take a stab. It's a small bar on a quiet country corner, maybe twenty minutes from the east side of Madison. The parking lot was full so I found parking on the street nearby. They had a big metal detector squeezed into the entry way, an ID scan, and a $7 cover.
The club has two small stages, both floor-height with a low wall and chairs around them. Only one was in use, and that only part of the time. The club was full of customers, most seated at the bar. There are a few other high-top tables along the edges of the bar. There were lots of blue LED lights, which I don't remember from last time. The blue lighting did not do the bartender any favors. The music was not too loud. There was one small TV behind the bar playing the NBA game. A bottle of water was $4.
The board behind the bar had at least a dozen names on it. I don't know if all of those dancers were still present when I was there (about 10pm on a Friday). I only ever saw maybe five or six, though I know there were at least a few others that went from the lap dance area into the back room.
A few dancers took to the stage for a few songs. They mostly kind of chatted with people sitting there, bounced their asses around a bit and maybe spun around the pole once. The few that performed revealed their boobs, though only one actually took her top fully off. Watching from the bar was awkward because you had to spin around, and the chairs didn't spin. You could sit at the stage, but none of the other seats really had a view. The performances weren't worth putting much effort into watching, though.
None of the dancers really grabbed my attention. There was one very tall black woman, a bit older, with big fake boobs on a reasonably fit body. Another tall white dancer had an "alternative" look with bold makeup and lots of piercings. There was a super curvy latina, who spoke both excellent English and Spanish. None of them were really off putting, but they also didn't really interest me.
I did end up going for a few dances. I was there and "fine" could be fun if the chemistry was right. Lap dances were $20/song done in individual booths with big very old, very squishy upholstered chairs. Despite their size, there wasn't much room on them. A couple of dancers tried to straddle me, but it was hard to fit their legs around me, and I'm not that big a guy. One dancer said $20 was for an air dance and that touching would be another $20. Another dancer wanted "a tip" to touch, looking for $5 or $10. Another dancer moved my hands away from her hips. Two of the dancers were sort of unpleasant to be near with mildly bad breath or other issues. I did have one decent dance from an older, thin, white dancer. She put effort into connecting and was sensual enough to raise my pulse. But the other attempts were basically a waste of time and money.
They have "VIP" dances at $100 for 30 minutes. That's a good deal if you find a dancer you like. In principle, this means you get a couch instead of the chairs. That gives you more room, and an easier time being straddled. But there are two couches crammed facing each other in a small space, so it's in some ways less private than the individual chair booths. And the couches are just as broken down. I didn't bother with it this time.
There were significantly more patrons than dancers, and seating was hard to come by. After trying a few dances, the only dancers I saw were chatting at the bar with each other. I didn't see a good reason to stick around longer hoping for a surprise to come out of the back.
If I'm bored and not too far, I guess I'd give the place another try. Lap dances are relatively inexpensive and have at least some contact. The club isn't convenient, though, being 20-30 minutes away from civilization. And I was pretty unimpressed with the dancers and the experience. I won't hurry back.
