Brunch.
Most of the strip clubs in Portland would make pretty lousy bars if they didn't have beautiful women dancing with no clothes on. This is not true for Acropolis. It is an amazing dive bar that just happens to be centered around strippers. Looks just like a dive bar on the inside, except for the corral-style 'stages' they have throughout the bar (just google for pictures, kind of hard to describe).
They have something like 80 beers on tap, with strong representation from the PDX craft beer scene. This is a welcome departure from the $9 metal bottles of Bud Light at most places. And then there are their famous steaks. Most are under $10, and are much, much better than they need to be, probably the best steak I have had for under $30 anywhere. The rumor is that the owner of the Acropolis also owns a grass-fed cattle ranch, so the steaks are very high quality. No idea if that is true, though.
Anyway, this is a strip club review and not a restaurant review, so I'll get back on track. This is a great spot to go for "brunch" on weekends - there are usually about 6-8 dancers at around noon, and my experience has been that they are much hotter than you would expect for such an early shift. There are usually enough people there to make it not weird and empty, but I have never seen it crowded at that time - there is always room at the rail. The girls are not shy about climbing up on your table, so be prepared if you want to enjoy your steak and beer up close. They are really careful about no knocking anything over, though.
