Coliseum is a Decent Daytime Choice

For visiting strip club hounds, Metro Detroit offers an embarrassment of riches. When it comes to the clubs on 8 Mile during the day, Players had been a favorite of mine. But on my last visit there (post-remodeling), Players just didn't feel like as good a club as before. Fewer attractive dancers, more hustle, strange bar layout, and (for me), awkward VIP section upstairs with the beaded curtains. Net, I gave Coliseum a shot, and it worked out for me. Easy to find with the obelisks in the parking lot; mandatory valet, but no cover; friendly host/bouncer welcoming me.

A big, impressive main room with the long stage as the dominant feature; long bar to the left, tables and booths surrounding the rest of the stage, balconies on the second floor overlooking the main room. Prompt, friendly service from the bartender; at 1:00 there were 5 or 6 bar customers and a nearly equal number of dancers. Once seated, I noticed a back bar that looked pretty lively, but I stayed put and watched the show. Music was not too loud; two dancers on stage at the time, sets starting at the back end and moving to the front in rotation. Noted about 12 dancers, perhaps more still in the back getting ready. Overall, excellent talent--generally attractive and fit, nice mix of ethnicities, range of looks from girl next door to smokin' hot babe. Lots of talent from which to choose for a more focused encounter.

A cute AA dancer with a big smile walked by the bar, sat down, and introduced herself. Good conversation skills, vivacious personality, she checked a lot of "sex appeal" boxes for me. After a drink, we repaired to the VIP, which is on the main floor; curtained booths, comfortable and roomy enough, and if there was a bouncer who needed his palm greased, I didn't see him and my dancer didn't say anything about it. A fine time in VIP--began with lap dances, and ended happily for me; $25 per song and a good tip was enough for my dancer friend to smile and join me for a post-dance drink.
