Interesting Visit

I finally made a visit to the Landing Strip. If I had to describe my visit in one word, the word would be interesting.

I attended a conference on Austin's east side on a Friday. When it ended mid afternoon I drove a couple of miles south to the Landing Strip. Since it was in the afternoon, there was a $5 cover. Since it was a bright day I required some assistance from a waitress to locate a seat. Since I don't do booze, I bought a coke (with tip $5). Within five minutes I was approached by a reasonably attractive AA dancer whose sales skills could use some upgrading. After introducing herself and asking my name, she asked if I was ready for VIP. I told her that I had just arrived and might be interested later. Rather than accept that or offer more enticing details, she vaguely referred to playing cat and mouse. She eventually walked off in a huff.

By then my eyes had adjusted to the lighting within the club. There appeared to be about 12 dancers on shift, 3 AA, 2 Hispanic, and the balance white. At least to me, the most attractive dancer had medium brown skin and was wearing a one piece bathing suit. She was seated at a table with an older black guy. A couple of patrons got lap dances at the tables on the edge of the tables surrounding the stage.
